Miter Joint Miter joints connect wood stock cut at 45° angles. Miter joints are easy to cut and assemble. Miter joints are clean since they don't show any end grain. However, miter joints are relatively weak due to the poor gluing properties of end-grain to end-grain joints. Miter joints can be strengthened with internal splines and other techniques.
