Foil Stamping Foil stamping, or hot foil stamping, is the application of metallic foil on to the wood. A heated die is stamped onto the foil, causing the foil to adhere to the wood’s surface and leaving the design of the die on the wood. Foil stamping can be combined with silk screening to create a striking three dimensional image.
